Born in Turkey, she studied in the United States and lived there for 30 years, gaining extensive experience in international education. She worked with international students, ran summer programs, and held roles in boarding school college counseling and university international admissions.
An expert in navigating the college admissions process for students from diverse international backgrounds, three years ago, she returned to Turkey and focuses on college counseling not only for Turkish students, but as well as those from India, The Netherlands, Lebonan, the USA, and Romania. With deep expertise in IB and AP students, her greatest strength lies in university admissions. She understands what makes a successful application and remains well-connected with colleagues at many universities in the USA.
She prioritizes finding the right fit for each student, offering guidance beyond the usual choices thanks to her in-depth knowledge of a wide range of American universities. Her experience in boarding schools allows her to build strong relationships with students, while as a mother of two daughters who went through the same college admissions process and now live far away in the USA, she also establishes deep trust with parents. She understands both the academic side and the emotional challenges of sending kids abroad.
One of the most common challenges students face is writing college essays and preparing for the SAT. She actively coaches students in essay writing—helping them both brainstorm ideas and structure their writing—and tutors them for the SAT to ensure they present their strongest application.
She has helped students not only gain admission to top universities but also secure substantial merit-based scholarships. Her past students have been admitted to institutions such as NYU, Purdue, Tulane, Virginia Tech, Northeastern, several University of California campuses, top tier Liberal Arts colleges, and a range of universities in Canada, the UK, and the Netherlands.
Her work has been recognized by Admission Counselor of the Year awards in the schools she's worked and she is a member of OACAC (Overseas Association for College Admission Counseling. This organization is a global network of college admission professionals, particularly those who work with international students.) She speaks regularly at conferences and workshops on college admissions and essay writing. She brings a global perspective to her work, understanding the nuances of international educational systems and helping students navigate the complexities of applying to universities around the world.
